10/7 Oktoberfest at Big Bear Lake $69

Join us for traditional entertainment and food from Germany, and loads of polka fun in an Alpine setting! Your tour includes admission to the festival, where under a tent you’ll find authentic music, dancing, and food stalls offering German cuisine including Bratwurst/Knockwurst, Polish sausage, roast beef, roasted chicken, side dishes like kraut and German potato salad, pretzels and apple strudel. Of course beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages are available, as well. Beforehand, enjoy a motorcoach tour (guided by a local) around Big Bear Lake.

In celebration of the 100-year anniversary of the discovery of King Tut’s tomb, join us on a once-in-a-lifetime excursion to the California Science Center in Los Angeles as they proudly present the world premiere of KING TUT: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh – the largest King Tut exhibition ever toured! Discover over 150 authentic artifacts from King Tut’s celebrated tomb, many of which the boy king himself used in life and in death, including gold jewelry, gilded wood furniture, and ornate ritual objects–60 of which have never traveled outside of Egypt. Come experience these priceless treasures before they return to Egypt forever! Your excursion includes free time for lunch on your own and entry to see the Space Shuttle Endeavour up close, another major California Science Center exhibit.

10/17 Museum Row in Los Angeles $59

In Midtown Los Angeles lies Museum Row on Fairfax Avenue, Here, one will find the La Brea Tar Pits, a 23 acre parcel of over 100 tar pits that entrapped animals millions of years ago, including saber-toothed cats and mammoths. These and other specimens extracted from the pits are displayed at the Page Museum, part of the Natural History Museum. Next door is the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, boasting a collection of more than 110,000 works from all over the world, time-framed from ancient eras to the present day. Across the street is the Petersen Automotive Museum, a $40 million, 300,000 sq.ft. “temple” dedicated to cars-appropriate in this city where automobiles are worshipped. A no host lunch at nearby Farmers Market start your day in L.A. followed by your choice of museums visits (nominal entrance fee not included).

Booking and cancellation policies:  Reserving space on a day tour (as well as multiple- day trips posted on our Day Tour menu) is simple—phone our office and indicate how many spaces you would like.  No money is required when making a booking, unless the trip is within two weeks of operation.  Canceling before payment is collected incurs no penalty.  All cancellations after payment is made incur a 5% processing fee.  For cancellations made less than 15 days before a trip operates, amount of refund will depend on whether tickets, meals, and extra costs were incurred in procuring the reservations.  Cancellations less than a week of tour date—no refund or credit.
