Day 1: DEPART ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA.
Your exciting vacation begins late this afternoon when you fly American Airlines overnight from Ontario Airport (ONT) to London’s Heathrow Airport (LHR) in Great Britain.
Day 2-6: Welcome to London, capital of England and one of the greatest cities in the world!
Immerse yourself in the local culture—you’ll have time on this memorable vacation to do exactly that. Even if you are a London travel veteran, it’s a great chance to experience some of the things you may have missed the first time around! You will be met and transferred to your centrally-located hotel.
Springtime, from late March to early June, is traditionally a great time to visit Great Britain’s capital, as throngs of tourists have not arrived and it’s often warm and dry. Outdoor activities abound, from flower shows to open-air markets. Museums begin to offer extended hours, and the curtains of West End theaters go up on some of the world’s greatest shows. The city’s pageantry and history come alive starting in spring!
A.C.T. makes the season in London irresistible with its very special price. Accommodations are at the fashionable 4-star Rembrandt Hotel (or similar), situated in the heart of the city. Recently refurbished and loaded with amenities, the fully air-conditioned hotel is located just a two-minute walk from the Victoria and Albert Museum, a 5-minute walk from the Natural History Museum, and just a stones throw away from the splendors of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens..
For six days, London is yours to explore. Visit the British Museum, the Tower of London, Madame Tussaud’s, the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and St. Paul’s Cathedral. You can take a River Thames cruise to Greenwich, home of the Royal Maritime Museum and the Cutty Sark; or shop at the department stores lining Oxford Street and Regent Street. Famous labels parade down Bond Street, and browsing at Harrods and the many boutiques of Knightsbridge is surely a must.
You can make the most of your stay with a selection of optional excursions, from Windsor Castle to Oxford’s ornate colleges, or even head out to Shakespeare’s Stratford Upon Avon. A menu of optionals—including Canterbury Cathedral and Stonehenge—will be provided before departure. Included on the list will be an all-day excursion to Paris, featuring a thrilling ride on the Eurostar through the Chunnel!
From fine dining to pub crawling and world-class theater to fascinating museums, and from the liveliness of Picadilly Circus to the tranquility of Hyde Park, London offers visitors endless wonders!
Day 7: LONDON-USA
