Day 1: DEPART USA
Your exciting vacation starts at LAX when you board your Scandinavian Airlines flight for Europe.
Day 2: COLOGNE, GERMANY--EMBARKATION.
Welcome to Germany! Upon arrival in Frankfurt, transfer to your
modern ship berthed in Cologne, settle into your stateroom and later enjoy a welcome dinner on board. Set sail at 10:00 p.m.

Day 3: COCHEM.
1:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Cruise along the Rhine River this morning to Cochem, a quaint German town (population 5,000) on the Mosel River. Enjoy a guided walking tour and a visit to the Reichsburg Castle.
Day 4: BERNKASTEL
8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Bernkastel-Kues is a town on the Middle Mosel in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is a well-known winegrowing center. Explore on your own, or opt to take a guided walking tour. Enjoy a leisurely cruise down the Rhine, arriving in Saarburg this evening at 10:00 p.m.
Day 5: SAARBURG / SAARLOUIS.
The city's 1,000-year history has been an exciting one. Baroque buildings such as the palace and the Schlossplatz square bear witness to the city's heyday in the 18th century. Enjoy a walking tour, and at 1:00 p.m. continue to Saarlouis, arriving at 8:00 p.m.
Day 6: SAARLOUIS / GREVENMACHER.
Saarlouis is a town in Saarland, Germany, capital of the district of Saarland and is located on the river Saar. It was built as a fortress in 1680 and was named after Louis XIV of France. Your morning excursion in fortified Saarlouis includes chocolate tasting. Depart at noon and arrive in Grevenmacher at 10:00 p.m.
Day 7: GREVENMACHER, LUXEMBOURG / TRIER, GERMANY.
Free time to stroll through the Moselle metropolis of Grevenmacher, where you can shop, indulge in culinary delights, sample Luxembourg wine, and immerse yourself in history. Continue sailing at noon and enjoy a tour of Trier, Germany’s oldest city founded by the Romans.
Day 8: KOBLENZ, GERMANY
3:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. As the meeting point of the Rhine and Mosel rivers and with the UNESCO-listed Rhine Valley as its backdrop, Koblenz has no shortage of photo-worthy scenery. It is one of the prettiest towns along the Rhine. Included is a walking tour of the city, also founded by the Romans.
Day 9: COLOGNE / COPENHAGEN.
Disembark after a leisurely breakfast and transfer to Frankfurt Airport. In the afternoon, fly to Copenhagen, capital of Denmark. You have time to explore the city. HOLIDAY INN (or similar).
Day 10: COPENHAGEN / USA
This morning, shuttle to the airport for you flight home, arriving at LAX the same day. |
