Day 1: EMBARKATION.
Opt to transfer by motorcoach today ($99 roundtrip) from the desert and inland areas to San Pedro and board your luxury ship, Princess Cruise Lines’ Emerald Princess. Set sail at 4:00 p.m.
Day 2: ENSENADA, MEXICO.
8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Called the “Cinderella of the Pacific,” Ensenada is known for its Mediterranean climate, friendly atmosphere, shopping, and fine restaurants. Fishing expeditions are offered, as well as tours to wineries and to the natural ocean phenomenon named “Blowhole.”
Day 3: CRUSING.
Relax and enjoy the amenities of your ship while cruising north to San Francisco.
Day 4: SAN FRANCISCO.
8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Cable cars, the Golden Gate rising from the fog—welcome to San Francisco, arguably the most romantic and cosmopolitan city in the United States, featuring a colorful history, superb restaurants, sophisticated museums, world-class shopping, and famous Fisherman’s Wharf.
Take a city tour, visit Alcatraz and Sausalito, China Town, the Muir Woods, or Sonoma Wine Country.
Independence Day festivities in San Francisco attract thousands of people to the waterfront areas, where your ship will drop anchor. The biggest highlight of the day is the spectacular fireworks display over the bay. But there are also daytime activities at Pier 39, special biking and wine tasting tours, and free walking tours.
Fourth of July fireworks display in San Francisco is performed in two synced sets starting after 9:00 pm. One set is launched at the end of the Municipal Pier, the other—from the barges in front of Pier 39. Breathtaking fireworks last about 30 minutes, and you can spot them from your private balcony or atop the ship’s Sun Deck.
Day 5: AT SEA.
Relax and enjoy the many amenities of your ship while cruising south to Los Angeles.
Day 6: SAN PEDRO /DISEMBARKATION.
Arrive 6:30 a.m. After a leisurely breakfast, disembark, clear passport inspection, and—with transfer package--return by bus to select inland and desert locales.
