Day 1 & 2: Your dream adventure starts at LAX when you fly Air France or similar to South Africa, connecting first in Paris.
Day 3: JOHANNESBURG (JNB), SOUTH AFRICA/VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE.
From JNB, take a short flight to Victoria Falls and be met by your Tour Manager, who will transfer you to your hotel surrounded by lush gardens and two swimming pools, situated in a peaceful residential area. Settle into your room and later meet for dinner and a welcome drink. PIONEERS LODGE (D)
Day 4: VIC FALLS & EVENING CRUISE INTO ZAMBIA. After breakfast, take a guided walking tour of mighty Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Then, at sunset, embark on an unforgettable dinner & cocktail cruise on the Zambezi River and look for crocodiles, hippos, and other wildlife on the banks of both Zimbabwe and Zambia. (B, D)
Day 5: VICTORIA FALLS. Morning at leisure. Afternoon visit to an authentic Zimbabwean village to interact with locals and learn about their native customs, culture, and government. En route back to the hotel, stop for a short time at the Lookout Café, offering a spectacular view of the Falls and of zipliners and bungee jumpers diving from a bridge span. (B)
Day 6: BOTSWANA/NAMIBIA/VICTORIA FALLS.
Botswana is Africa’s nature paradise and the Chobe National Park boasts great herds of elephants, cape buffalo, and lions and leopards.
Enter the country by bus and take an exciting safari drive in an open vehicle. Following lunch, continue game spotting aboard a boat cruising the Chobe River, in waters that also surround Impalila Island, Namibia. Drop anchor and set out on foot to visit a nearby village. Return to Vic Falls in the late afternoon. (B, L)
Day 7: VICTORIA FALLS.
Leisure day. Optional tours include visiting Livingston, Zambia, or the fabled Victoria Falls Hotel, or to the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, home to the endangered white rhino. (B)
Day 8: VICTORIA FALLS..
Morning at leisure. Early evening game drive through Zimbabwe’s sprawling Zambezi National Park (56,000 acres). Predators, including leopards and lions, traditionally sleep during the day and come out at dusk! (B)
Day 9: VICTORIA FALLS.
On your final free day in Zimbabwe, optional tours include taking a helicopter ride over the Falls, going river rafting, returning to favorite sites, doing last minute shopping, etc. We highly recommend ending your stay with the optional Boma Dinner & Drum Show, staged at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge estate, a legendary dining and entertainment experience that offers an unforgettable fusion of mouth-watering local cuisine, energetic dance performances, interactive drumming and traditional storytelling.
